This house has been designed for a long, narrow and steeply sloping property in the suburb of Rothesay Bay for a busy family of five. The constraints of the site has resulted in an extruded plan shape that steps down the site following the contours of the land. Easy flows between the living spaces, the outdoor areas and swimming pool provide a generous and relaxed living environment for the owners and their children.

Clad in two contrasting cedar cladding types, the forms of the house fold over each other to create a stunning visual result which is ‘book-ended’ by the solidity of a series of rough-cast raw concrete feature walls
